Q: How do we get our certificates of completion?
A:  Your certificate of completion will be e-mailed to you a couple days after the symposium has ended.   Hours will have to be calculated and certificates made and sent.

Q:   Why aren't times for the sessions listed?
A:  The sessions are not live sessions.  They are pre-recorded, therefore, they are available "on demand" 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Q:  What computers/platforms work with the symposium?
A:   The videos are regular MP4 videos and should play across platforms.  However, here are some recommendations:  Windows computers -  Chrome (if up-to-date) - Edge works best:   Apple Computers - Safari:  Chromebooks - ???

Q:  My district wants my professional development hours from the symposium.  How do I get those?
A:  At the conclusion of the symposium, a certificate with the number of earned hours will be sent to you.   If you should need to show your hours prior to the end of the symposium, you could simply go back into the sessions you viewed, look at the total length of each session, and add those up for a total.

Q:  My videos aren't loading; i just get spinning circles.  What could be wrong?
A:  If you are using Google Chrome, it is possible that it needs updating.  To check to see if Chrome needs updated, do the following:
1.  Click on the 3 vertical dots in the upper right hand corner of the browser.
2.  Click on "Settings" in the pop up menu.
3.  Click on "About Chrome" on the bottom left of the next screen.
4.  On the main section of this screen you will see either one of 2 messages:
      a.  Chrome is updating
      b.  Chrome is up-to-date
5.  If Chrome is updating, please watch for a message to the effect of "Chrome has finished updating, click relaunch to restart Chrome".  Click on the relaunch button.
6.  If this doesn't fix the problem, try another browser, such as edge.

Q:  How does this work?
A:  All sessions are pre-recorded. There are no "Live" sessions.  all videos are available 24/7 during the Symposium window.  To access the presentations, simply click on the appropriate tabs.  A password request window will pop up.  Simply enter the password and you will be able to access all sessions (you will have to enter the password for each page that is protected).   Please note that the password is case sensitive, meaning type a capital letter where one is given.

Q:  Why does attendance have to be taken for each session?
A:  Attendance tracking for each session does three things:  First, WVRA can track popularity of sessions.  Second, If a county requests attendance data, WVRA can provide that information. Third,  Those who have entered attendance are eligible for door prizes (if any are available).

Q:  Who do I contact in case of a technical problem with the site?
A:  Contact Brian Bailey.  His contact information is on the tech support tab of this website. Please note that he will not be able to adddress issues until the evening hours.

Q:  My colleague did not receive log in information for the symposium.  What do they do?
A: Contact Brian Bailey.  He will double check the spread sheet to see if registration information is available.  Please note that some counties paid for registration with a Purchase Order but individuals did not go through the registration process on the WVRA website.  They simply need to complete the registration process on the provided link.  Once this is done, the individual will receive access information for the symposium.
